Due to the inactivity and lack of time, the Summer Cup 08 CTF for F.E.A.R. have just closed.
Big thanks to sNk  and all the admins for the good job they have done for this cup. (Pipelayah  , Saucy  , SuKs  ..)

In the middle of the summer holidays, here comes the 1v1 Summer QuickCup. A 1-day cup to show who is the best F.E.A.R. player out there !
This cup will be played on saturday, 9th of August. The cup will start at 5pm and has 16 slots.
Players will have to play 2 maps per round. The maps will last 10 minutes each! (so 20 mins. for the whole match)
1st Round @ 5pm : Docks / Construction
2nd Round @ 6pm : Factory / Evacuation
3rd Round @ 7pm : High-Tech / Campus
4th Round @ 8pm : Player's choice
(Mappool: Docks, Office, Construction, Factory, Evacuation, High-Tech and Campus)
We have Premium Prizes to offer for this Cup:
1st place: 2 months Premium Account
2nd place: 1 month Premium Account

It's the time to finally start the Play-Offs, most of the matches which wasn't finished yet, turned into a forfeit loss depending on which team couldn't show up on the specified date&time.
To check the structure of the Play-Offs tree, just look at the left side of the page's menu navigation !
We are asking you to play the matches as soon as possible, and of course this time an Admin is a need !
Special Rules are gonna be revealed today - later on, so stay tuned !

Honestly, this is just a pre-released Play-Offs tree! We still need to discuss few things in this matter! However, this is at least a part of the Play-Offs Rules :
- As KaZy already mentioned, a neutral match spectator needs to be always present, someone of the Cup's Crew.
- All matches are gonna be played just on the Cup's Servers.
- All participants needs to use just the same F.E.A.R. PB GUID as they have entered to Clan Base.
- Before every match, you need to join at least an half of hour before, the cup's IRC channel, and that with your whole line up, for the upcoming match!
We want to assure that really just the players who are using the nickname are also the persons. Therefore GUIDs and IPs are gonna be checked very carefully! Thanks for the support of Game-Violations! Be sure you also entered the right GUID to the cup's page, we wont tolerate any exceptions.

There is a huge lack in played matches so far. I know that the only thing which you can achieve here, is just the victory, but as know from the past, it was the main thing for what the most of us aimed for, besides the fun playing a proper 4on4 match.
As also my custom team, so the others delayed their matches due their own concerns
, not easy to get a line up in these days, and afterall it's also summer. Therefore we wont complain about that. Anyway, we would be thankful, if you could arrange your Group Matches as fast as possible. So we can finally progress to the next stage of this cup.
I assume not everyone got a contact of his opponents, also because of that we made a IRC channel for this tournament.(As you might already noticed!) We supposed, that the teams are gonna use it to arrange their matches also via the channel.(In case you haven't got any other contact of your opponent.) We are asking all the Cup participants, who haven't specified any date&time of their matches, to provide us with the information, if and in case when, they think that they are able to play the rest of their Group Matches.(If you already have your challenge's information, and you aren't able to show up on that specified date&time, post it to the match's comment. From now on, you're able to move your match just once! Otherwise it's gonna be a forfeit no show lose. Although, accordingly to the arranging lack, we are gonna to force some of the matches, as we already did in the previous progress.) You can do so by contact any of the Supervisors, of course, if you haven't got any contact of us, join the IRC Cup's channel as well, me and KaZy are always present, or also, feel free to drop me a message on my BouNCer.(by Quering me) (Or simply use the eMails!)
If your match has been forced, and you haven't got any contact of your opponent, join the Cup channel around 30 minutes before the starting time, to prepare your challenge properly! I hope, that everyone got enough of intelligence to use IRC. (Don't be a lazyass and try it out.)
You might also noticed, that few of the teams left or were removed from the competiton, cause of inactivity, lack of members, or simply again obviously violated the rules, as they repeatly did in their know playing history. (Shame on ya!) This created a mess in the organisation, and postponed the Cup itself. But still, nothing is lost, and we might continue as we were supposed to.
I'm looking forward to see here more of activity.
We will try to keep you up with the progress regarding the Cup.

News rivolta agli italiani partecipanti al torneo.
Siccome pare che nessuno abbia mai sentito parlare della GUID e siccome questa e' necessaria per prender parte a questo torneo, ora vi spiego cos'e'; e come si fa a saperla.
La GUID non e' altro che una specie di codice identificativo dato dal PunkBuster ad ogni player ed e' diversa per ogni key (o chiave) del gioco.
E' possibile sapere la propria guid scrivendo il comando "pb_plist" (senza virgolette ovviamente) in un server con PunkBuster attivo attraverso lo spazio chat.
Una volta dato il comando, compare una scritta verde in alto a destra: voi premete F8, in modo da fare uno screeshot e poter controllare la guid dallo stesso.
Andate poi in C:|Documents and Settings|All users|documenti condivisi|monolith productions|FEAR (per quanto riguarda Windows XP) oppure C:|Utenti|Pubblica|Documenti pubblici|monolith productions|FEAR (per quanto riguarda a Windows Vista) e prendete lo screenshot che avete appena fatto, apritelo e trascrivete la guid sulla pagina web indicata nella news precedente da KaZy (le GUID possono essere aggiunte solo dal leader, quindi riportatele a lui).
Per aggiungerle, basta aprire la pagina di gestione del Team, cliccare su "Squad Edit" e inserire gli ultimi 8 caratteri della vostra GUID.

=HessenFragger=  has decided to support The F.E.A.R. CTF Cup Summer 08 by providing it with our servers.
The gameservers are running the mentioned PB version as requested, and also every other config is settled properly. The stream to Game-Violations is also working fine to me, double checked all necessary PB-GV related settings. GV Scripts v.2.2b Updated: 1st July 2008
The Password for both servers is: summerCUP
Since Sierra's & Monolith's decision to switch EvenBalance's PunkBuster support to the useless Perseus Mandate, the problem with PB INITialization occured, which has lead afterall that the server admins decided to turn off the AC protection on their gameservers. However, in case of this competition, we definitely need to use it, despite that some of you are still fighting with this issue :
- You'll find the latest client oriented PB files .
- Simply just copy - paste and overwrite all files and folders in |Documents and Settings|All Users|Shared Documents|Monolith Productions|FEARCombat|pb|
- You can also check how your PunkBuster works by running the |WINDOWS|system32|pbsvc.exe applicaton (Test Service button), there are some usefull informations which can help you to fix one or another PB oriented problem. To reinstall PB by that, or by using the manual updater, you wont achieve any positive results!

Hello again ladz, I'm glad that already few teams decided to sign up. However, I would like to remind you on to few things which are worth on to be mentioned, as long it's mandatory to follow them.
Considering the "PB GUID" : § A player isn't allowed to play in any match of this Cup, until he did enter his valid "PB GUID" to his team's settings (e.g. Squad). §
I guess as few of you already expected, the cup matches are gonna be played on game servers with PunkBuster fully operational, last updated before EvenBalance stopped to support, and as well, the stream to Game-Violations will be established.
Therefore, CB|ESL|GV banned players aren't allowed to participate in this Tournament.
To further enlight this situation, we do allow CB suspended players to play (as long some received their suspension while playing alongside a banned player, even with or without their knowledge about it), but we refuse any players which got caught by an "MD5 Tool Mismatch" (e.g. trace of a hack in the game folder, various settings) in their known traceable gaming history.

We are still looking for some lagfree game-servers which would be suitable with our conditions.
If any of the teams out there, are prepared to provide us with their servers, it would be very appreciated as by us so by the community itself.

First of all, many thanks to SuKs[VEX] who actually settled the script for me.
I would like to invite all of you to your team so we can start this cup as soon as possible. Please take also a closer look on the .
